BEDTIME PRAYER TO CHILD

Give me, O God! your blessing

Before surrender to sleep,

And everyone I love

Take care of you while I sleep.

For my mother, my father,

For my brothers, I pray thee,

Observe them long years

Health, strength and content.

Give comfort to the sorrowful,

And cure the sick,

And bread to the needy,

And the fatherless and under roof.

We bless you all

Therefore you must,

And sleep the last sleep

Wake up in your arms.
